What’s new?

The Smart Home eBook version 1.7 was released on 28th November 2025. Here’s what’s new:

• We updated the installation of Raspberry Pi OS, as a new version of the OS was released, as well as a new version of the Raspberry Pi Imager software.
• We updated the instructions to allow remote access to Mosquitto broker. Now, you need to set user and Mosquitto permissions to access the password file.
• We added a note about the deprecation of Node-RED dashboard and why we’ll continue using it.
• We updated the WhatsApp number to receive the API key.
