Hi Rui,

I put the moisture temperature box in the sun for charging and it over heated the ESP32.
This processor is very sensitive. How can I keep it cool? I’m ordering a new ESP32 now.
The project worked fine I like it a lot.

Thank You

Rainie…..

Hi Rainie,
I’m sorry that you’ve experienced that problem and you’re right the ESP32 can be quite sensitive and I should have addressed that problem in the project. I’ve never experienced that problem in my particular tests even during temperature over 30º C…
I can only see a few scenarios:

  • Enclosure with really good isolation
  • Enclosure placed in a shadow
  • Or an enclosure with a few holes and a fan to have some airflow and keep it cooler…

To be honest I haven’t researched a good option about that subject…
