Hi,
Any advice on Raspberry pi 4 security measures and virus protection before I get started with ‘Unit 6: ESP32-CAM IP Camera Access from Anywhere in the World’ in your book.

Hi.
The method we use uses ngrok which creates a safe tunnel to your local network. That service handles all the necessary security issues.

You can learn more about ngrok here: https://ngrok.com/
If you have any doubts about how they handle everything, you can try to contact their support.

Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Regards,
Sara

Hi,
Thanks, read ngrok info and now its clear! Besides the safe tunnel what’s you’re advise on installing antivirus software? (ClamAV).

Peter

Hi.
I’m not very familiar with this topic.
On my computer, I use the antivirus that comes with Windows by default.

On the Raspberry Pi, I don’t use any antivirus software. But, if you’re concerned with viruses and related security issues, ClamAV seems to be the most recommended for the Raspberry Pi. However, I don’t have any personal experience wit it.

Regards,
Sara
