Working through the course, everything fine until project 5, I completed the project, downloaded and installed the app on my tablet.
The app opened and then clicked on Connect Bluetooth, the following message appeared:

Bad Arguments <
The operation < cannot accept the arguments:,
[*Empty-String*],[5]

Has anybody else experienced this?

Hi.

Yes. See one of my responses to this discussion: https://rntlab.com/question/project-5-temperature-readings-android/#answer-52935

Let me know if it helps.

At the time, this was only a temporary solution and it didn’t fix the problem entirely. Here’s the files with the issue corrected:

aia file: https://github.com/RuiSantosdotme/arduino-mit-app-inventor/blob/master/Code/Project_5_Temperature_Readings.aia

apk file: https://github.com/RuiSantosdotme/arduino-mit-app-inventor/blob/master/Code/Project_5_Temperature_Readings.apk

Let me know if this works for you.

Sara

Hi Sara
Thank you for replying so quickly, I followed your response (answer 52935), changed and downloaded the app. The program worked first time, I checked the temperatures above 25 oC and below 5oC and the appropriate text colours changed at the temperatures as required. The app worked on both my tablet and mobile, very happy with the result, keep up the good work
Regards
Martin
