Can not install apk files, built with my mit inventor. App  runs ok when connected via ai companion.
If  I use your apk files they install ok. Do I need to be a registered developer?

Which .aia files are you using? What’s the file name? Just to see which project are you working on.

Project-led_controller .aia & apk
my apk ( build using your aia code file) will start the load process ask to install from known source then stop close to the end with a msg app was not installed . your apk file does the same but completes and installs.
Looks like my mit inventor dose not have the proper settings.

But what happens when you import the .aia file? Does it load in MIT App Inventor?
Can you edit the app settings? Or does it load a blank project?
Thanks!

  • Does it load in MIT App Inventor?
  • Can you edit the app settings?

Thanks!

Hi.

I’ve tested this project again and reproduced your steps. Uploaded the .aia file, changed the text color to blue. Then, build the apk. file for the app.

When trying to install the app on my smartphone I needed to change some settings to allow unknown apps to install and everything installed smoothly.

I don’t understand why you were not able to install the app with your older account (I’m not sure if it’s using a different MIT App Inventor version or something). Without any further information, it is difficult to understand what is going on…

Thanks for your patience!

The second account also stopped working.
Opened a 3rd account exported the keystore file then imported to my 1st account and now it started working.
did the same with 2nd account and it also worke.
Looks like something is going wrong with the keystore file . Is there a time limit .,
Thanks

Thanks for letting me know the solution. I’ve never experienced any problem with the keystore files and I’ve always used the default settings. Sorry about the trouble and I’ll point anyone to this conversation in the future if they encounter this issue.
