You mention it may not have the required features for web servers. I’ve been using it for months, and I’d rather not have both versions. I am still planning to use Visual Studio Code, but in case I want to use Arduino 2.0, will it be an issue?
“We don’t recommend Arduino 2.0 as it is still in the beta version and it doesn’t have
some essential features that we need to create the files to build the web servers.”

Hi.
It is not an issue if you don’t need to upload files to the filesystem via the Uploader plugin (web servers using SPIFFS).
If you’re used to Arduino 2.0, you can follow the Learn ESP32 eBook with it.
Let me know if you encounter some unexpected issues throughout the course or if you need more help with other subjects.

Sara

Thanks, I guess I will see how it goes. I already worked with Arduino IDE and web servers, but it has been a struggle to understand. I will continue with VS and see how far it can take me.
