I bought your books and I’m reading “Learn ESP32 with Arduino IDE V2.1”. On page 27 it states to download the “latest” version of Arduino IDE. I have read that the earlier version such at 1.8.19 supports SPIFFS but 2.0 and later does not.
For this book which should I download? I originally downloaded 1.8.19 and got the BLINK to work successfully but nothing else. Nothing will load properly even the WiFi Search.
Please let me know which version or does it not make a difference now?

Hi.
Both versions should work. However, version 2.0 doesn’t support the spiffs uploader plugin that is very handy for some projects. Additionally, some of our students encounter unexpectedly issues with that iide.
So I recommend using version 1.8.x.

What sketches did not work? What error did you get? Can you provide more information?

Regards,
Sara
