I’m wondering what would be needed to use the Arduino IDE with Circuitpython instead of C?

Hi Ray.
You can’t run Circuitpython with the Arduino IDE.
You need another software.
Adafruit recommends the MU editor.
Check it here: https://learn.adafruit.com/welcome-to-circuitpython/installing-mu-editor
Regards,
Sara
