Is the bar code scanner RS232 interface?
If so I can probably help you…

What brand is it? Model number, etc…

Hi Dave,
I will be using a Symbol scanner pn:LS2208-SR2000-1R. It has a 5V supply power input with RS23 2 output and will be connected to a RS232 to TTL converter on a 3V3 supply to my ESP32 -S3.
