Hi have an easy question. I want to use BME280 with ESP32. When I see your tutorial from Build web servers apears a link to by this component and there is one of 5v and other of 3.3V with more pins. In your images you are using 5v model.
Is it posible to use 5v model with 3.3V?
Thankyou in advance.

Hi Oscar.
Can you share a link to the BME280 sensor that you have?
You can try to connect it to 3.3V and see how it behaves.

Sara

Hi Sara.
I want to buy one. When I press Web servers book link I get:
https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005002434252889.html?aff_fcid=a84680b3f267417182887416f4c3901f-1620627233494-02330&aff_platform=api-new-product-detail&aff_trace_key=a84680b3f267417182887416f4c3901f-1620627233494-02330&terminal_id=4d917d36f5664e91b6f5e06a295f0454&tmLog=new_Detail
But this model is BMP280-V5 with 4 pins
There is other model BMP28-V3.3 with 6 pins
I don´t  know if model 5v with 4 pines works with ESP32 3.3V.
Thank you.

Hi.

The product in the link you show is not the same part. We’ve fixed the link on the page:
https://makeradvisor.com/tools/bme280-sensor-module/

This is the same as ours (it is a bit more expensive, but comes with two sensors): https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32960239063.html?aff_fcid=535475ae2ec640f7bca5365e708e4cb5-1620642238202-02578&aff_platform=api-new-product-detail&aff_trace_key=535475ae2ec640f7bca5365e708e4cb5-1620642238202-02578&terminal_id=e499b535d102453c972308e72e2804e9&tmLog=new_Detail

It should say “BME280”. A BMP280 is a different sensor and will not work with the projects.

I’m sorry for the confusion.

Regards,
Sara
