Can ESP32 be powered with 5V via the VIN pin?
E.i. is that the same thing as power ESP32 via the micro USB, the 5V will be converted to 3.3V etc?

Hello Lars, Yes! The ESP32 Dev board can be powered with 5V in the VIN board (in fact, you need to power it with that voltage, otherwise it will not be powered). The ESP32 has an on-board regulator that converts the voltage from 5V to 3.3V.
