I would like to change the value of a Firebase field with my Google Home voice controled. Do you think it can be done? Is your book about Firebase explain how to do that? If so I’ll buy it right away.

Yes, it seems to be possible to use Google Assistant with Firebase.
However, I haven’t explored that yet and I don’t know how it works.
At the moment, that subject is not covered in our eBook.

Thank you Sara for the quick and clear answer. You know actually, the prefered way to do home automation projects for free, is to use IFTTT combined with AdafruitIO. Unfortunately IFTTT is limited to 5 free and different voices commands. Being able to use Google assistant with Firebase could open the door to unlimited possibilities. There must be a way since they are 2 Google services but I’m still searching…
