I do the following task exactly as in your lesson and I can not get indications from the sensor ΒΜΕ280. on the console I get the messageI

the only case I can read the sensor in the address 0x76 is to connect the SDA to pin21 and the SCL to pin22
that I can make a mistake. can someone help me.

Hi.
Does the whole project work if you use GPIOs 21 and 22 for the BME280 sensor?
Regards,
Sara
Ηello sara
Τhanks for the prompt response.
No the whole project does not work. when .GPIOs 21&.GPIOs 22 is connected toBME280 sensor and runing your scan id scecth i can read with I2C_SCANNER the addresses 0x76 for BTE280 and 0x75 which means that the sensor works. But when I load the code whith GPIOs 18&.GPIOs 19 as described in the work the message I get is {Serial.println(“Could not find a valid BME280 sensor, check wiring!”); while (1);
Help me please is my first project is very interesting and I will not accept the disappointment.
Τhe truth is hidden in the details which as a young man I can not locate. But your own experience will surely see something.
Thank you in advance
Hi again.
Would you mind double-checking that you have the sensor wired properly, as shown in the tutorial?
- SDA: GPIO 18
- SCL: GPIO 19
That’s the only thing I think that might be wrong.
Otherwise, I might need to check if there’s something wrong with the code.
Regards,
Sara
Hello again Sara
I am sure about the correct placement of the pins GPIO 18 is SDA & GPIO 19 SCL.I have done it 50 times as well as a different sensor BME/BMP280 there is definitely a problem the issue is where. Please see the project code and tell me.
do not know if anyone else worked with this project and what was the result.
thank you from the bottom of my heart
Hi again.
I’ve just tested it, and the BME280 sensor initialized just fine.
How are you powering your board?
Regards,
Sara
Hi again.
power for panel 5 volts from usb power supply 2 amp
do you say that’s it? I will try it tomorrow and let you know.
Anyway thank you for the time you spent for me. I will support your effort by buying other e-books
Thank you
