Greetings
Although I had great problem a few days ago with download, and eventually properly installing the CP2102 driver, which I now don’t remember how I succeeded doing so. I now realize that somehow that driver no longer is on my computer. I did learn something about a “bad” USB cable, and I just ordered a new one. In the interim, please show me a detailed explanation as to where and how to succeed in installing it

Cables can defiantly be an issue.  Sometimes a cable can just break or more likely, it only has power lines without data lines.  Here is a good source for the drivers CP2102 drivers.  The “how” to install varies … maybe WINDOWS
