Difficulty in running RTC DS3231

I have connected the RTC DS3231 and trying to run the code in Chapter 10.4 on page 457. I keep getting the error code as shown below: MPY: soft reboot Traceback (most recent call last): File \”<stdin>\”, line 26, in <module> File \”urtc.py\”, line 134, in datetime File \”urtc.py\”, line 45, in _register OSError: [Errno 5] EIO   I checked all connections and they seem sound enough. Any suggestions please?   Regards,   Philip

Hi.
I’m not sure, but that seems a problem with the connections…
What is exactly the RTC model you’re using? Can you send a link to the exact model?

Hello Sara,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I have changed my leads to ensure to eliminate any problems with the leads I was using, and it did the trick.
It is now working as intended.
