Hi,

Would you recommend to install
ESP-IDF Tools on windows?

Or Download the precompiled Windows toolchain:

https://dl.espressif.com/dl/xtensa-esp32-elf-gcc8_2_0-esp-2020r2-win32.zip

Would it help for debugging

Hi.
I think that PlatformIO comes with out-of-the-box support for ESP-IDF.
I haven’t tried ESP-IDF with PlatformIO, so I can’t give advice on this matter.
