Hi Rui!
I bought a few weeks ago your book “(NEW) MicroPython Programming with ESP32 and ESP8266 eBook“ but just now I have time to install on Mac. I met serious problems that I show on the attached images. I followed literally your instructions. First of all there is a problem just for updating uPycraft without connecting esp32 board to Mac.
Then, problems when trying to burn firmware. You will find attached the esp32 I used which is just bought on Amazon.
Thanks for your cooperation

Hi Daniele.
I’m so sorry that you’re getting trouble going through uPyCraft IDE.
We’ve just released an updated version of the eBook yesterday that shows an alternative IDE (Thonny IDE). In my opinion, this new IDE that we recommend is more intuitive to use and simpler to install.
You can get the new version of the eBook here: https://rntlab.com/welcome-micropython-programming-with-esp32-and-esp8266/
Page 312 shows an alternative IDE, how to flash firmware, and how to get started.
Can you try following the instructions for that IDE and see if it works better for you?
Let me know if you need anything else.
Regards,
Sara
P.S: Rui already added you to the course (he sent you an email a few minutes ago).
