Hello I have just received new ESP32 C3 Mini by LOLIN.
it is recognized by the Arduino IDE by mean that i get port number.
however, when i try to download a code I get the error message:
“the selected serial port Failed to execute script esptool does not exist…”
I have tried to hold the reset button and the other button but its always the same.
is there any thing I am missing?  I am using Board “ESP32 Dev Module” which
works fine with my other types of ESP32 Boards.

Thank You.

Hi.
That can be caused by several issues:

  • not using a proper USB cable
  • the board you’ve selected is not compatible with the actual board
  • your board is not in flashing mode
  • your computer doesn’t have the USB drivers used by your board

Regards,
Sara
