I’m using the an esp32 camera module. It works fine with an i-phone and a GalaxyTab A. With an older Samsung pad, it will do a still picture but not the video stream. We have two older I-Pads and neither will even connect with the address of the esp32 camera module. Am I missing something that would get all of these devices to work?
Hi.
The codes we use for the ESP32-CAM only work in one browser at a time.
So, if you have it opened in more than one browser at the same time, it won’t run.
What browser are you using?
Regards,
Sara
Chrome and Safari are the two browsers being used. I wasn’t trying to open them, all at the same time.
Thanks,
Brian
Hi Brian.
You shouldn’t have that problem with those browsers.
Sometimes, resetting the ESP32 or refreshing the web browser may solve the issue.
What is the project that you’re following?
Regards,
Sara
“ESP32-CAM Video Streaming and Face Recognition with Arduino IDE”, is the project that I followed. Eventually, I did have a problem with the android pad that I was using. After resetting the ESP32, it starting working again. I retried the other devices, but everything was as before. I get good results from the ESP32 CAM, with both my computers (Windows 10 and Windows-XP) and with both the I-phone and android phone. The pad that works fine, is a fairly new pad. The two I-pads that don’t work at all, are fairly old pads. Maybe their age has something to do with the problem. Maybe a software switch somewhere, has to be turned on. I was hoping someone that has a lot of experience with the various pads, would enlighten us.
Thank you,
Brian
Hi Brian.
It may be some issue with the browser on the old iPads? That seems to be issue.
Unfortunately, I don’t know how to troubleshoot that :/
What browser and version those iPads use?
Regards,
Sara
So long as I can access the esp32 Cam with my computers and smart phones, I’m okay with that. If there would have been a quick explanation for the problem with the older I-pads, that would’ve been great. Don’t think it’s worth digging further into this. Sara, I truly appreciate your responses and efforts.
Thank you,
Brian
