Hi,
is there a way to, programmable, rotate the camera image/video?

Hi.
These are the available functions:
set_vflip() –> vertical flip
set_hmirror() –> Horizontal mirror
This tutorial shows how to use those functions:

Wauw, that was fast 😉
the image is turned 90 degrees but from your answer I understand there is no way to rotate that.

Hi again.
As far as I’m concerned, ther isn’t a function to rotate 90 degrees.
However, depending on your project, you can add some JavaScript to your web server to rotate the image as shown in this tutorial: https://randomnerdtutorials.com/esp32-cam-take-photo-display-web-server/
