I am hoping you might be able to help me.

Have replaced,
power supply
cables
esp32 units
2x windows 10 computers (including compete rebuild)

Have gone through the help page and still get timed out waiting for packet header.

Do you know anyone in New Zealand that could help?

Hi.

That error means that the computer can’t establish a serial connection with your board.

  • Check that you have GPIO 0 connected to GND.
  • TX connect to RX
  • RX connected to TX

What’s the FTDI programmer that you have?

Without further information, it is very difficult to find out what might be wrong. But usually, it’s due to a wrong connection.

If you want to find someone near your location to help you out, it would be better to ask in the facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RandomNerdTutorials

Regards,

Sara

HI Sara,
I have a

ESP32 TTGO T-Camera with PIR Sensor and OLED Display Board.

That I can get to threw a web browser at http://2.2.2.1 and this works fine. However when I try to upload a sketch I am getting the "a fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to esp32: Timed out waiting for packet header".

Am using windows 10 and followed the guidelines you set out on this page.

https://makeradvisor.com/esp32-ttgo-t-camera-pir-sensor-oled/

I can connect the USB directly into the TTGO. Can you make any suggestions, please?

Regards
Garth

Hi.
Can you try pressing the RST button right before uploading the code?
