I have a fatal error on the first sketch and I can’t figure it out.  I’ve gone over the sketch a few times and haven’t caught anything wrong but I still keep getting the same fatal error.
“A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Invalid head of packet (‘.’)”
What is a packet and which is in question?   The ESP32 is connected to the computer while compiling, of course.

Hello Gayland,

Please take a look at this Unit: https://rntlab.com/esp32-troubleshooting-guide/

Section/heading number 4: “4. A fatal error occurred: “Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out… Connecting…”” Holding down the BOOT button during upload will solve your problem.

Regards,
Rui
