Hi Rui/ Sarah,
What is the difference in code between the resistive vs capacitive touch displays? Will you be covering the capacitive displays some time soon?
Hi.
The resistive and capacitive touchscreen work in a different way and require different libraries to work.
We’ll try to find out how to use a board with a capacitive display once we get one. I’m not sure exactly when we’ll cover that issue, but we’re definitely interested in that.
Regards,
Sara
It seems to be increasingly difficult to find the resistive boards. Most of the boards are V2.2 which has the capacitance touch screen.
I am buying from AliExpress.
Hi.
All links on our MakerAdvisor page will redirect you to the CYD board with a resistive touchscreen.
The first links on the MakerAdvisor list are for Aliexpress: https://makeradvisor.com/tools/cyd-cheap-yellow-display-esp32-2432s028r/
Usually, all 2.8 inch displays will have a resistive touchscreen. Sometimes, the vendors will not put the R at the end of the reference.
If you have doubts about a product, you can send me a link and I can try to double-check it.
Regards,
Sara
