I was working on Mod 2, Unit 4 of the ESP32 course and reading some voltages when the light went out.  I might have hit one of the wrong pins on the ESP32.  Did I just blow out my board or is there some way to reset it?

When you connect your ESP32 to your computer:

  • Does it light up any LEDs?
  • Can you see a new COM port in the Tools menu with your ESP COM port?

Thanks!

Red LED does not light up and COM port under Tools Menu Is not available.  It is light grey and not available.  I have another ESP32 and it follows the right pattern with red LED and COM port shows.

If you’re using the same USB cable, I can only say that your ESP32 is fried… I’m not sure why that happened though
