Hi Sara,
It would be like a “texting” service via MQTT, whereby you could have a messenger service between two or more ESP32 “text each other”

Hi,
That is possible to implement because each ESP32 can be subscribed to a unique topic, so you can send individual messages for each board by referring to their unique topic. Or they can be subscribed to a generic topic or all topics to receive all messages.
