Hi,

i am looking at completing the ESP32 robot. I was wondering if it was possible to use a single power supply to run the ESP32 chip and the motors at the same time?

Thanks

Hi

LTC3256 High Efficiency Dual 5V/3.3V Output Power Supply, but it depends on current you need for motors more current TPS54386 13.2V Input, Dual 5V and 3.3V Output, 2A

But I use

LD1117v3.3 for esp32
LD1117v50 for motors

Both LD’s come form the same  battery bank

Hope it helps

Hi Phil.

The DC motors require a big jump in current to move, so it is better to use a separate power supply. I really recommend using separate power supplies.

There should be alternatives to power both the ESP32 and the motor with the same power supply, but I’m not familiar with that.

You can take a look at the DK’s recommendations and see if you find something that might work.

I’m sorry that I can’t help much.

Regards,

Sara
