I have followed the instructions for setting a static IP address given in the “Build Web Servers” course, using 3.4 Web Server: Display Sensor Readings from File (Charts) as an example. It appears to work except that it can no longer access the time server, resulting in an incorrect time/date. I notice that although the display responds in the browser to the new IP address, the IP address of the ESP32 in my router does not change.
I solved the problem by removing the code and just selecting a static IP address in my router, but I do not understand why the code in your book did not appear to work. Can you advise, please?

Tony
Hi.
I’m not sure, but probably there is some incompatibility with your router that doesn’t allow you to set a fixed IP address, and you need to do it directly in your router.
I’ve never encountered that issue before, but there should be something related to the router.
