Dear,
I have 5V relay where I tried to control a door lock that requires 12V instead of the lamp example you provided. I wired everything as described in your video but I was only able to turn on the green LED on the relay but it is not clicking!!
Looks like the 3.3v was not enough for the relay to click.
Also, VIN pin did not not even turn the LED on the relay so I had to use the 3.3V pin on the ESP32 instead.
Do I need to get a 3V relay instead or can you please help me with a simple workaround?

Can you send me a link to where you bought the relay, so I know exactly which relay module you’re using?
With most 5V relays, you can power them with 5V (ESP Vin pin) and control them with a 3.3V signal.

You are right dear. The relay that I was using (Chinese) was not working.
