Terrible job installing arduino IDE in Mint 20 1) it keeps loosing ESP 32 boards in board manager 2) when i can get the board AI Thinker, the verification ignores 1.8.13 and goes to .arduino 1.5 3) it can’t find “python” 4 I don’t know if it actually finds the port, even though it shows it . The program has run OK on my old Machine using an earlierIDE on Mint 19.3.
Hi Chris.
I’m sorry about those issues. So, you are unable to upload code to the board?
I’m not familiar with using Arduino IDE in Mint. Do you have more than one arduino IDE installation?
Have you consider using VS Code wih PlatformIO IDE? You can take a look at our getting started guide here: https://randomnerdtutorials.com/vs-code-platformio-ide-esp32-esp8266-arduino/
