Hello,

I am using ESP8266 board an going through your video course. I have configured code as advised on video but my com port is not showing IP address. It gives me this error below. Any ideas how to fix it?

ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,7)

load 0x4010f000, len 1384, room 16

tail 8

chksum 0x2d

csum 0x2d

Hi.
What code are you trying to run in your board?
And what ESP8266 board are you using? an ESP-01?
Sometimes bad power sources make your ESP8266 reboot continuously. Have you tried uploading other codes to see if they work?

Hello Sara,

I am using LoLin NodeMCU V3 ESP8266 (ESP12E module) – youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jMr94B8iN0.
I am using your code from unit 4 ( https://rntlab.com/esp8266-video-course/). I have not tried to upload other codes.
Where can I get other codes?

You have code for other projects on the eBook that comes with the ESP8266 course.
Can you change line 348

void detectsMovement() {

with

ICACHE_RAM_ATTR void detectsMovement() {

and see if that solves the problem?
