I would like to give an additional idea to the time out problem on Page 64 in the ebook ESP32-CAM Projects
1. Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header
Seems to me when a setch is writing data on the MicroSD card, this time out happens easily.
For me the only solution was.
– Power OFF
– Unplug MicroSD card
– Power ON
– Upload the the scetch (without a time out)
– Power OFF
– Plugin MicroSD card
– Power ON

Hi.
Did it work well uploading code without the microSD card?

For some boards, you’ll need to remove the microSD card for the upload to be successful.
I have boards that upload well with the microSD card and others that don’t.

Sara
