I just got the book on Firebase. I was looking over the project and it says that the project is to build an app that controls 2 digital GPIO and 2 PWM GPIO pins. There are a lot more pins than that on the ESP32 chip. Is this project just for familiarization or is the 2 and 2 format a limit of what this app can do?

Hi.
It is to get you familiar with the concepts.
There is no limit.
Then, you can add as many GPIOs as you want, or you can use other GPIO numbers.
