I may have passed it up in the instructions but I was looking to see if there was a schematic for this to add the sensor to it, excuse me if I missed it. I know should be able to just look at the picture and make the right connections .Thanks

Hi.
It is explained on page 27.
In your Firebase console, select the project you’re working on, then Realtime Database, and you should see the URL as shown on page 27.

Sara

Darn, how did I miss this, thanks. This is not easy for me at all , so much code , trying to understand any of this is difficult . Then I keep getting exception errors on my ESP8266 not seeing the port because I had another one running and left the serial monitor open. To be completely honest here I don’t believe I will ever understand enough of this to be able to use it. This is way over my head or ability to absorb, very confusing. Thanks for your help.

Keep at it. One day it will just “Click”. This stuff is hard. If it wasn’t, everybody would be doing it.

Hi Larry.
As Steve mentioned, it is not easy. It also took me a lot of time to understand many of the things. Hopefully, by following the eBook, our readers can learn it much quicker.

If you follow the eBook step by step from the beginning, you’ll get everything working.

However, I know this subject might not be for everyone as it involves many different concepts that you might not be familiar with.
So, if you feel like this is not for you, you can ask for a refund within 60 days of the purchase of the eBook.

Regards,
Sara

No it’s not easy , the different concept in this book make it extremely hard to follow. It addresses different operating systems and several languages so you start on a project using Arduino IDE then you see BS and Platiofom IO not to mention that there is a difference between ESP 8266 and ESP 32. Not hard to stray and get confused.
As far as money back, I have had this for a little while because I started reading it and soon got confused, decided to set it aside for a time I could spend more time with it. Also that’s not the way I do business, I purchased even though I had difficulty with the Home Automation book knowing this would be even more difficult to follow.
I appreciate your offer but I purchased it snd I am not looking to get money back. I have and will continue to try working with it. It actually made me look at HTML which I started to figure out  . Thanks for your continued support and Steve Mercer for his advice and encouragement.

I’ve been programming now for 50+ years. That has been my mantra for most of that time 😉

Use of streaming functions prevent download 10gb/per month consumption?  because that normally happens
