Sorry. Though I had submitted an explanation that I accidently hit submit before explaining my problem. I was getting an error building the ESP32 SPIFFS website which I could not fathom, but I then saw in the forum that you had answered this previously for someone else. I changed the reference to the ESP32 DOIT DEVKIT in platformio.ini and it fixed the problem. All working fine now. VS Code does throw up some very cryptic error messages at times.

Wrong answer above. Sorry – its been a long night.  I did not realise I had submitted this question. i was just looking for answers on the forum. I was stll trying to figure it out myself. When I put in an earlier question, similar previously answered questions popped up including one the same as mine.
Does a question auto-submit if I leave the forum page without clicking submit?
I could not get the lightbulb to display on the webpage in 2_1_Output despite thinking I had cut & paste the code in correctly and had checked it several times. Everything else on the webpage was ok. Eventually when I deleted it all and re-pasted it in from scratch it worked! I still don’t know where the error was but it works.😁
