Hi Rui, it looks like the visual editor in the forum does not understand new lines and/or carriage returns, so the messages become one very long line which makes them quite unreadable, when using the visual editor.

I am now trying to use the text editor, and am curious to see the difference. Also, it’s quite a pain to not have an “edit” button once the message has been sent. It would be a great addition.

Obrigado, Luca

Hi Luca, thank you for letting me know. Yes, the forum plugin is currently cropping any HTML tag, so It removes paragraphs, breaks, images and removes links. I’ve contacted the Forum developer and they promised, they were working on solving this issue. You do have a edit link on the top right corner of your post. Thanks!

 Rui,
from the other topic on the forum I gather that line breaks should work now, and that is all good, so let me try the new “feature” on this reply.
At the same time, i wanted to let you know that I do not see an option to edit the post on the top right, I rather see an “Edit Question” menu on the top left, but if I click that it says that I do not have access rights.
Thanks for your support,
Luca

Hi Luca,
It was a permission issue on my dashboard, you should now be able to edit your questions and comments (in that Edit link on the top right corner of your answer).

Thanks for letting me know,
Rui

Rui, all seems to working well, and I do now see the “edit” link in the top right of the message.

On the other hand, I do see the “edit” link also on *your* messages, which might pose some security issues to the forum messages… 😀

Ciao, Luca
