16 X 2 LCD shows correct temp and temp symbol at first, but then intermittently shows gibberish and sometimes shows correct display – no pattern to when it shows correct vs. gibberish.

Serial print on the DS1820B and the LCD modules are showing correct data, including button push, but gibberish still intermittently appears.

Tried Changing both ESP32 module and LCD units,

I have checked code and wiring several times with same gibberish. I made sure that all contacts are clean and even connected the LCD directly to the ESP32 with F-F contacts. I also increased time between reading/publishing from the dsb1820, all to no avail.
