I see your tutorial on how to connect ESP32 cam external antenna. There are great explanation on resistor jumper stuff. However, I cannot physically connect the antenna to the board’s antenna stub. The brute force snap connecting does not work. Do I need to solder them for connection? Since this might effect the signal quality, please tell me how?

Hi.
I’m not really sure if I understood your question.
But, you just need to connect one connector to the other. There’s no need for soldering.
It may be easier if you use some tweezers or small pliers.

I found it rather difficult to get that antenna lead snapped on to the board connector. Get yourself a good magnifying glass and lots of light. Make sure you have the correct connectors. The board connector is male and the cable is female. Most cables are this way but it is very slightly possible you have a male cable. Then you have to get them together. Everything has to be straight. Any slight offset and it won’t snap on. Keep plugging away and you’ll get it.

The hardest part is actually moving that tiny resistor.
