hello everyone, I’m new to the blog and a beginner; french using translator.

I use esp32cam-mb for :RandomNerdTutorials.com/esp32-cam-pir-motion-detector-photo-capture microSD

Problem is: PIR detects, led flash, monitor shows photo number. But in reading on my PC nothing, empty

The program has not been modified. I tried 2 GB FAT32 SD card and 2 new 8 GB FAT32 cards. I tried 5V power supplies(3), 3 ESP32CAM-MB and 2 PIR, and 3 cables.

I have no more ideas, who can help me?

Thanks

Hi.
Do you get any more information in the Serial Monitor?
Any errors?

Hi Sara,

I read that the problem writing to SD can come from the power of the power supply. I also tried a 5V, 2A auxiliary battery.

Is it possible that the program contains a bug? no, of course. I downloaded it via the purchased book (super book, thanks).

Or the outputs of my cam-mb are not the same as AI Thinker for SD card? I’m lost.😕

Many thanks for help.

Do you have an FTDI programmer to experiment with?
I think that might be related with some sort of incompatibility between the MB programmer and your board. Like the MB programmer is pulling some pins high or low preventing writing to the microSD card… but I’m also not sure.

Hi Sara,

We exclude an error in the program, a lack of power, an incompatible SD…

No, I don’t have FTDI. I’m going to see my maker club if I find one.

Is there anything odd in the monitor’s hard copy?

I come back as soon as I tried FTDI.

Have a good day

That error is not normal.
But, I’m not sure exactly what might be causing it because I never had that issue before.

hello sara, am back... i tried 3 different FTDI and 3 cam, 3 cables..., 2 PC, W10, W11
I also tried charging with UNO R3. I burned an FTDI, and one cam, probably my fault.
Only the webserver program works using the MB of ESP. I'm stubborn so I continue again.
No one on the forum has a great idea ?
I feel alone in the world :(
good day to all

What did you try with the Arduino uno? the microSD card?
What code did you use? What errors did you get?

hello, after 2 weeks of vacation I am starting my tests again. SD problems, camera not found,...
After several loadings and without changing anything in the program it works! Why?
the material is undoubtedly capricious.
The photo taken is not of good quality, I will follow the tutorials to improve that.
The SD is 8GB and works correctly.
Next topic sending photo by email.
Thank you for your excellent work
Gilbert
