Occasionally when I upload a new sketch to set up an ESP32 as a server I cannot browse to it even though I successfully get an IP address assigned to it and I can see it on a network scan and can ping it.. I just can’t connect to it. Any thoughts?

Hi.
What project are you trying to run? Or does that happen with any Wi-Fi project with the ESP32?
Regards,
Sara

It can happen with any Wi-Fi project, but it doesn’t consistently happen. I was hoping for a possible cause that you may have come across, so that I can more reliably troubleshoot is issue.

What web browser do you usually use?
And what happens exactly when it doesn’t work?

Hi.
That’s a very weird behavior and difficult to troubleshoot.
Are you sure you are on the same network that the ESP32?
Are you using it in access point or station mode?
Regards,
Sara

No question on the network connection, but there is the possibility that I may have configured the ESP32 incorrectly. So far I have not been able to reproduce the problem. I am closing this question and will start a new one if and when I have an easily repeatable scenario.

Thanks for your help.
