I read in the code at https://rntlab.com/module-4/esp32-web-server-display-sensor-readings/ that there’s buttons to be styled:
// CSS to style the on/off buttons
I suppose this is left over from the course earlier on using the ESP32 as a webserver?

Yes. You are right.
Please, ignore that line. It should be “CSS to style the table”.
