Hi, I am using PlatformIO and I needed to look at an esp32 .json file in the boards folder. I doubled clicked the file and was asked what to open it with, I chose Notepad but did not UNTICK the All files. Now PlatformIo wont open the boards folder because they are all Notepad.
I don’t know if anybody can help me restore back to default. I have gone to Default Apps (and File ext) but cannot remove Notepad back to Default.
Hope I am on the correct page.

Hi.
Did you try to: right click on a json file > open with, select VS Code, you may need to choose “Open with another app”. Then, select that for all files.
Did that work?

Sadly there was no option for vscode or to change it back to default. However, sending hours on the internet I did find a solution, and it worked.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRZBjMxNi0M It might be useful for other people who forgot to untick the box when opening a .json file and they all turn to notepad……
