LED On without Push Button or with a wire

Hello Sir,
My Question is from Push Button section. Here we want to tun on the LED when we press the Push Button. Can I simply use a wire one end connected to 5V or 3V and the other end to my GPIO Input Pin. When i do so, the LED will On & when I remove this wire, the LED will turn OFF.

Hi.
Yes, for testing purposes, you can do that, but use just 3V3 volts.
