I have opted for a 433mhz set up…I have ordered 2 LoRa modules (Ra-02’s) and after much checking I found an antenna that was labelled as 433Mhz compatible (The same shop does others that suit the higher frequencies as well)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/433MHz-Antenna-for-LoRa32u4-Ra-02-LoRa-Wifi-Transceiver-Module/32862888264.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.3dc84c4dDFl8iN
But I now note its length…”10cm”
Now the course says that I need an antenna of 173,1 mm (Although perhaps the end of the antennae hides a coil?) so which is right or can I extend mine when it arrives?
Thanks in advance, Steve
Hi Steve,
If you want to use the 433mhz frequency and you bought those two antennas that are already prepared for the 433mhz communication, I don’t think the length matters. Those wire lengths are for DIY antennas…
Hi Steve,
You don’t describe what Lora modules you use.
As I understand, you bought separate Lora modules.
You can buy ESP32 with integrated Lora modules, including antennas in Aliexpress
Hi Gayrat,
I specific which LoRa modules I use: https://rntlab.com/esp32-lora-sender-and-receiver/
As I show in that Unit, I use the “RFM95 LoRa Transceiver modules”: https://makeradvisor.com/tools/rfm95-lora-transceiver-module/
You are correct, you can use the ESP32 with integrated LoRa modules.
Thanks for asking,
Rui
