I am working through SMART HOME with Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and ESP8266 eBook and on page 90 you speak of a group called tab and group called Raspberry Pi and in the Digital Outputs I dont see that onmy properties page of the switch function ( yes I am using the one from the dashboard group, that was a sage in itself.) All see in the group dialogue box asking meto enter a new dashboard group and a drop down arrow which runs me through a couple more boxes to enter a group and tab name.

Node-RED was supposed to create those tabs by default.
Maybe there was an update and it doesn’t do it anymore. If they are not created by default, you’ll need to create them manually. There’s a section on page 70 explaining how to create tabs and groups. Create a tab called Raspberry Pi, and a group called Digital Outputs.
Then, assign them to that switch node.
