Not sure this is the right course for me, it would have been more helpful to know what you need in advance to complete this course. What I wanted to learn was how to program an 8266 , but from what I have seen so far I may have the wrong course. Again I am a newbie, just trying to understand this stuff and already i fall in a pit, other than a few components I am already behind the 8 ball. I don’t want to give up just yet but would like to vent my frustration on this. Do I necessarily need all the components  or can I just use like the DHT sensor and buzzer ?

Hi Larry.

It may be a bit difficult following the course if you just have those components.

However, you don’t need all the components from the list to do a considerable amount of projects.

Here’s the ones I recommend getting if you don’t want to spend a lot of money: BME280, OLED Display, PIR motion sensor, LEDs, resistors, pushbutton, potentiometer, breadboard and jumper wires.

Most of the components are very cheap.

You can also take a look at the projects on the course and see which ones you would want to invest time in.

You can still take advantage of Black Friday deals to get your components cheaper.

However, I understand that you might not be able to get the components. If you feel like it, and you feel you won’t use the course, that’s OK. You can always ask for a refund.
