Start-up screen

I am progressing through ‘Build a Home Automation System ..’
I have installed Node-Red on a RasPi [3 B+] and all well, and have got to Module 5. I have installed node-red-dashboard but when I call up ‘local:1880/ui/’ on the RasPi Chrome Browser I just get the page as shown in the link above.

Thanks in advance for any help, Dave

PS. I am progressing well with using the eBook, with transmitting weather sensor data using MQTT. Node-Red has been very useful in testing send and recieve code 🙂

Hi Dave.
If you go to localhost:1880 what do you get?

Sara

Node-red fires up fine, using either localhost:1880 or RasPi ip:1880. I have the Dashboard stuff in the ‘filter nodes’ list. I went to ‘Manage Palette’ and then I have (not sure if due to previous action) but then I get ‘dashboard’ at the right-hand side of the page. I will have a play later and see if is actually all OK

The start-up of Node-Red Dashboard is different in the latest release to that given in pp67 ‘Build a Home Automation System ..’ The Dashboard is accessed directly from Node-red, as shown in this screenshot https://prnt.sc/XVR4difDGcE9 – which brings up the dashboard as shown in this screenshot https://prnt.sc/L5Q-KjjgNfJs

Apologies for the delay in replying, but I was too interested in playing with the dashboard 🙂
Cheers Dave

Hi.
Yes, that’s true.
Our eBook doesn’t show the latest dashboard.
We need to update and restructure the whole ebook.
Let me know if you need more help.
Regards,
Sara
