HI . I bought a camera module (waited 2 weeks for it to get here) . I based my purchase on image of board. It is not marked with the words “AI thinker” . . apart from that it looks identical . . I cannot get the board to run at all following the ESP32 can tutorial. It connects and I am able to program it from the arduino IDE in ubuntu. . . but I get nothing from the serial port when I reboot the device. I did get the “power on reset ” message once . . not getting anything now . . I am a total noob with wi-fi especially . . but it looks very interesting .any suggestions???
Buy another board ??? with a bit more care . . maybe . .

PS I just noticed there are other boards . in the code . . sadly they do not work . I think I answered the question myself . . and yes in the tutorial it says ” make sure you get the right board”

Hello, if the ESP32-CAM board is identical to mine, but it doesn’t say “AI thinker”, it might still work. Which problem exactly are you having? I think you’re simply not being able to put it in flashing mode or not establishing the right serial connection…
