I have been working on my solar pool heater.  I have found I might want to override my program so I can manually turn on the pump or remotely turn the pump on.  I have no idea what would happen if I decided to just turn a relay on while the program is running.  If the relay is already on and the controller tells it to turn on too any ideas what would happen??   I am not looking to turn the whole project off,  I think I am just looking to stop the code so I can remotely turn the relay on.  Thanks for the help

Hi Ray.
I’m not sure if I understood your question.
You want to know what happens if you turn the relay on remotely and it is already on?
I haven’t experimented, but I think nothing will happen – it will continue on.
Please clarify if this is what you were asking.
Regards,
Sara

As usually I have been over thinking what would happen.  Thank you for your help.  I want to setup a web server to manual control the relay that controls the pump.  This will be use as a back up.  Do you see any problem with this??

No. I don’t think you’ll have any problem.
Go on with your project 🙂
