Platform IDE Install Failing

Hello All,
I am having trouble installing the Platform IDE extension as part of Visual Studio Code.  I have now tried probably 5 or 6 times and each time I get the same error. On the Git Hub help, the recommendation was to remove the McAfee protection software and various programmes which I don’t have installed.  Removing McAfee didn’t help.  This the error I am getting.
DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for file:///C:/Users/User%20A3U-1/AppData/Local/Programs/Microsoft%20VS%20Code/resources/app/out/vs/code/electron-browser/workbench/semver-umd.js.map:

I have noticed that some people have had problems of this nature.
Hopefully you maybe able to help me.

Hi John.
I don’t know why you’re getting that issue.
VS Code with PIO always run smoothly for us.
Is this the first time you are installing VS Code? What other extensions do you have installed?
I’ve seen this discussion: https://github.com/platformio/platformio-vscode-ide/issues/2067 it seems the same problem you have. Can you try to follow some of the suggestions and see if you get it working?

Are you behind a proxy? My home computer died so I have to use my work computer. Getting PIO installed behind said proxy was a nightmare. I don’t know exactly what I did but it suddenly started working.
