Hi,  I can program my 8266 using aduino.exe.  But I am trying to follow your course Build Webserver and I can’t get the device to program using Visual Studio.  I am thinking it might be because I have selected the wrong module.  I am using one labeled ESO8266MOD.  It comes up on com6: and I can program it with the arduino ide.
I’m not sure what I am missing.  Could you point me in the right direction?
Thanks, Chris

Yes it is.  I am having trouble getting the terminal portion of Visual Studio to work.  It looks like it tries to connect at 9600 baud and I can find where to changr it.  Any hints?
Thanks,
Chris

Try adding “monitor_speed = 115200” (Without the quotes) to the platformio.ini file in your project.

Hi Chris.
To change the monitor speed do what Steve mentioned. That’s how you change the serial monitor speed.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying the course! 🙂 That’s great! Thanks 🙂
I’ll mark this issue as resolved. If you need further help, you just need to open a new question in our forum.
Regards,
Sara
